Rafting in Siberia - Russia - Katun River

Bio Bio Expeditions had the great fortune of being amongst the first wave of westerners to run whitewater rivers in eastern Russia.  In the early 90’s, we partnered with Centour, one of the first Russian rafting outfitters, and ran the mighty Katun River in Siberia.  This partnership has continued to this day and we love returning to this fascinating part of the world.  Because of our many deep connections to the  people of Siberia our adventure travel trip in Russia begins with a home-stay and cultural exchange in a small Siberian village.  This is a true highlight of this Siberia adventure as you will be treated to a sumptuous Russian feast and enjoy the warmth and hospitality of the rural countryside.  Siberia's Katun River is "big water" rafting at its best – huge wave trains, sandy beaches, and incredible vistas as we wind through the Altai Mountains.  This Siberian adventure vacation provides you with an opportunity to experience the real Russia – campfire singing, vodka slinging, proud culture, steamy river saunas – while having the whitewater adventure-of-a-lifetime - in Siberia!
