Bio Bio Expeditions is excited to introduce you to “pura vida”, a coast to coast adventure in Costa Rica including rafting the warm waters of the Savegre and Pacuare Rivers, sea kayaking and hiking among the wildlife of Tortuguero National Park and relaxing on the sandy beaches of Costa Rica. Find adventure in Costa Rica while enjoying a 16 CME credit Veterinary Medicine Course in Respiratory Medicine and Surgery taught by Dr. Michael Lappin.
Our head guide for this expedition is Jorge Esquivel, born and raised in Costa Rica and the current Costa Rican freestyle whitewater kayaking champion. Jorge has explored every corner of his beloved country and helped us create this itinerary that includes the very best of Costa Rica in ten days.
Our first day, we arrive in San Jose. Costa Rica. We spend our first day rafting the Rio Savegre followed by a day exploring the jungle and a second day of rafting and learning about the wildlife and ecosystems of Costa Rica. Our fifth day is spent on the beautiful beach relaxing in the warm sun.
Day six, we spend sea kayaking through Tortuguero National Park where we kayak through Laguna Nueve (day seven). The following day, we raft the Rio Pacuare after which we return to San Jose. Come and join us for an unforgettable adventure in Costa Rica!
