Vietnam / Cambodia
January 16th - January 28th 2011 $4950.00
Combining adventure with plenty of relaxation, this trip will introduce you to some of the highlights of Southeast Asia, including 2 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The group will assemble in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) to get oriented and to explore some city and war-era sights. You will next take a side-trip to Cambodia's Wonder of the World at Angkor Wat before returning to Vietnam. The majority of the trip takes place in Central and Northern Vietnam on fabulous beaches, cultural sites, natural areas, and luxurious hotels. Vietnam is a new and rapidly developing travel destination. Many say Vietnam is what Thailand used to be like before it was "discovered". This is a great time to see a fabulous country that is defined by war yet holds absolutely no bitterness toward Americans. Just over a decade ago, Vietnam emerged from "the dark years" under dire economic conditions. Embracing free markets has drastically re-shaped the country since the early nineties. You will experience Vietnam's legendary fusion cuisine, its cultural history, and its warm, resilient people.
