Siberia Adventure Vacations
“I wanted to thank you for the outstanding trip. It really was one of our best trips ever very full, rich and varied. Unmatched and invaluable! It was also a birthday that Ill long remember! I know how unique it was to have your sister along and she made all the difference in making it a trip that immersed us in the culture in a way that would never have happened otherwise.
I cant wait to see the video!”

Join us and our partner, Centour, in the eastern hemisphere and explore Moscow and then raft in Siberia with Bio Bio on the Katun River in the pristine “Altai” region of Russia. Centour’s knowledge of the rivers and Russian logistics far surpasses all other local outfitters and, as we run the trips in partnership, there is potential for terrific cultural exchange. Discover the best of Russian flavor in an area few visitors ever get to see in Siberia spiced with rolling wave trains, big drops and heart warming songs and merriment!
The Katun River is to Siberia what the Colorado River is to the United States, and the Russians are proud and protective of it. This river is a big water (6.000 CFS at put in) Class III-IV river and winds its way through the magnificent Altai mountain range. The Katun River’s source is at the southern slope of Belukha Mountains (4,506 m) in the Altai range of southern Siberia. The river winds its way through the Altai mountains, to the confluence of the Ob River and eventually meanders all the way to the Arctic circle. It is a fun river with plenty of rolling pool and drop rapids and huge, safe wave trains and big “recovery” pools.
We have a variety of crafts on the river for you to try out including 16 foot self bailers, paddle boats, oar boats, and also Russian style catarafts. Besides the great whitewater and spectacular scenery this trip is special because of the cultural immersion. We will be spending lots of time with local Siberians and visiting places and people that most Americans have never experienced. Siberia is a wonderful, wild place and we created this trip to show you the best of both the rugged wilderness and the warm culture of this part of Russia.
