AFRICAN SAFARI TO NGORONGORO CRATER IN TANZANIA - 4 Days
Join us on a spectacular African wildlife safari in Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. African adventure travel at its best!
We begin our african safari in Tarangire National Park in Tanzania is the most famous park in all of Eastern Africa during the dry season where thousands of animals migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River in search of water. Lion and other predators follow the herds and can be found through out the park. Enjoy afternoon and evening game drives, overnighting in the Tarangire Safari Lodge located on a ridge with one of Tanzanias most spectacular panoramic views of wildlife. While relaxing on the patio you can observe a variety of animals passing below, including herds of up to 300 elephants. Overnight at the Kikoti Lodge
The following day, we drive to world famous Ngorongoro Crater, and spend the evening at the Serena Ngorongoro Lodge or the Beautiful Ngorongoro Farm house. Ngorongoro Crater is the worlds largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa's densest animal populations. It is estimated that there are up to 25,000 large mammals in the 100 square miles of the crater floor including a population of about 100 lions and approximately 400 hyenas. Open grassland covers most of the crater floor and supports large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra, buffalo. Thompsons and Grantï's gazelle, eland, hartebeest and warthog. There is also an enormous variety of birds including flamingo on Lake Magadi, water fowl around the other lakes and springs, and ostriches and the Kori Bustard are everywhere.
We spend the next day admiring the grasslands, swamps, lakes, rivers, mountains and wildlife of Ngorongoro Crater, which together combine to create a breath taking collage of African splendor. The densely forested outer slopes of the crater take you to Heroes Point where there is a spectacular vista stretching over the 260 square km crater floor lying 600 meters below including the Gol Mountains, Lake Magadi, Seneto Springs, Gorigor Swamp and Lerai Forest.
Finally, we must leave this magical place and after an early morning breakfast at the lodge. WE drive directly back to the Arusha airport in time to connect with our flight to Zanzibar or flight home.
