Stacie Wunsch

After joining us for the New Year’s 2003 trip on the Futaleufu. Stacie has pretty much never left the Bio Bio family. Chile left such an impression on her that the day after she landed in the states. Stacie promptly quit her job in New York City as a high-powered advertising executive and joined our team. After an 11-year stint in the Big Apple, it was time to get out of the rat race and get into the great, wide open outdoors. Stacie then went off to travel and explore many incredible spots on the globe and eventually returned to her native California to hike, bike, paddle, run, swim and sail.

A whitewater guide-in-training and beginning kayaker. Stacie rounds out our team and brings a sense of calm to our sometimes hectic office with her reliable organizational and managerial skills. In addition, she is an excellent trip leader in the field. Our guests love Stacie for her quick wit, great sense of humor and clear communication skills.

Stacie excels at nearly everything she attempts and has held many varied job titles such as beer girl at the golf course, ski bum, advertising executive, video producer, chef, tour guide, marketing manager, nanny and seamstress. Now, if she could only defy gravity. She hails from Santa Barbara, California and presently calls Truckee her home sweet home.
