In 2009, Bio Bio Expeditions ran the first commercial rafting descent of the Drangme Chhu river in Bhutan.  Our first descent was an amazing rafting journey of discovery down the largest and last unexplored river system in Bhutan. The Drangme Chhu is an exciting, challenging and isolated journey, offering days of world class whitewater and some of the most dramatic mountain scenery and intact culture found anywhere in the Himalayas.  The other world class whitewater river we are proud to offer is the Zanskar located in the pristine north of India, the region of Ladakh.  The Zanskar is known as the "Grand Canyon of the Himalaya" with big volume whitewater in a spectacular, rugged gorge.  Both Bhutan and Ladakh, India have fascinating Buddhist cultures with many monasteries, people in traditional dress and the opportunity for culturally enriching exchanges with the local people.  Bio Bio Expeditions is honored to have been granted special permission by the Bhutan Ministry of Tourism to continue to offer commercial rafting expeditions down Bhutan's Drangme Chhu River as well a Bhutan multi-sport adventure vacation we call "Rivers, Mountains and Dzongs."  Join us for the adventure of a lifetime in India or Bhutan!
